Welcome to all Fresh[wo]men!

We are your student council (FSI) who represents you at the university and against the faculty. On this page, you will find all relevant informational links for your „Studienstart“ (start of studies) at FAU.

The Institute for Information Systems (WIN) also has a page on your start of studies.

For you to communicate with your fellow students, we created a WhatsApp and a Facebook group.

You can find all news from your FSI on our Facebook or Instagram page!

Furthermore, there is a group for all Information Systems students from FAU.

Sadly, due to COVID-19, there will not be a Bar tour this year.Join the WhatsApp Group with your fellow IIS students!

Fresh[wo]men Information

On the 2nd of November, you will be officially welcomed by Prof. Laumer and the faculty of business, economics and society. In the evening, the FSI is organizing a bar tour at 6:30 pm, where you can get to know your fellow students without violating the COVID-19 restrictions. You can register for the bar tour through the link on the top of the page.

On the 3rd of November, you might have your first courses, depending on your track. In the evening, the Inofficial Welcome will take place on ZOOM at 5:30 pm, where you will get tips on your studies from higher semesters and will have the chance to get to know more of your fellow students though a speed-dating.

Here you can find our „Inofficial Welcome“-presentation.

On the 5th of November, the first student council meeting („FSI Sitzung“) in the academic year 2020/2021 will take place at 6:30 pm. You are very welcome to join as well!

In the first semester you should preferably take the courses from your Management or Computer Science Track. You are free to decide which other subjects you want to take. Please note that some computer science subjects from the summer semester are based on the subjects of the winter semester.
